Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
Recipe from http://www.pumpkinnook.com/cookbook/recipe05.htm
Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies would be good for a snack or dessert. They had a different kind of flavor to them. They were shaped sort of weird because the dough was different than normal cookie dough because it was really fluffy. The main ingredients were pumpkin pie filling, chocolate chips, flour, sugar, and spices. The cookies would go well with a glass of milk.
This recipe was okay. I didn't like the texture and there wasn't a very sweet taste. The flavors weren't too overwhelming but you could for sure taste the pumpkin and other spices. I originally thought the chocolate chips would be really gross with pumpkin flavors but they added most of the flavor and without them I think the cookies would've been awful.
I liked how quick the cookies were to make. I didn't like how they were hard to combine and had a texture that made them difficult to put onto the cookie sheet. I also am not a huge fan of pumpkin, so I didn't really like the flavor they had. I liked having chocolate chips in them because if gave the cookies a sweeter flavor. I didn't like having to use a dough hook, it took way longer to mix.
I think the cookies would be good with a glass of milk. I also think that the cookies would taste good with ice cream.
One thing I would do to this recipe is get rid of the pumpkin. I know it was a pumpkin lab, but I'm just not a huge fan of pumpkin. Another thing I would change about the recipe would be add more flour. The cookies would have a better texture.
